Hi Ursin, thanks for the invitation, unfortunately I'm really busy on finishing the bachelor thesis in time for the presentation, especially since I have to start to work for the civil service next monday and at the same time study for an end-of-semster exam the week after, no idea how I'll manage... Anyway, are you here in Zürich during the Summer, resp. from July on? If so we could meet some time then, when hopefully things will be somewhat more calm ;) Bye! Sandro On 06/01/2010 11:15 PM, Dr. Trigon wrote: > As you can see below, I'm planning a "Grillade" this friday, may be we > can meet there too...?!? > > Sorry, is a bit late... ;) > > Greetings > > ________________________________________ > Von: Solèr Ursin > Gesendet: Dienstag, 1. I'm in the sixth semester (and yeah, you should indeed know some of my class-mates, at least Michael (Steichlechner) tells me he knows you ;) ). Concerning the meeting, I have no lectures on friday, and from where I live (Albisriederplatz) it doesn't really make a difference whether I go to Höngg or Zentrum. Hence we could meet next friday or the one after, sometime in the afternoon? One could also try to get in touch with the SimpleScan developers which is a simple scanning program included by default in ubuntu 10.04 instead basically doing the same work again. Concerning my experiences with tesseract, I've not done much more than simply use it as-is up to now :). My priorities at the moment is to improve the drawing area which is still to slow for some operations (such as heavy zooming) - need to play a bit more with cairo there.
