I am currently using PyCam with QCAD and I'm pretty pleased with it. My current process is to draw a part in QCAD and have each operation on a layer. Once layer would be all holes, a pocket would be on a layer, etc. However, it seems like I can only define one CAM operation for all elements. If I set an engrave operation to cut the holes then it does at operation on all parts such as the slot. Is there any way to have hole drilles, outline cut, and a pocket milled out of the same drawing? Is there some place where this is documented?
Thanks for your time!
Jes

I'm using LibreCAD under Linux to generate the drawings and unfortunately it doesn't use a common clipboard so the copy/paste method won't work. I'd love to be able to use PyCAM but it's just not working for me.

Hi,
I just worked around a similar problem by erasing the different parts of the drawing and saving it as different drawings. Then I ran a toolpath for each one and stuck them together in notepad. A bit messy but it worked well.
