The output format of pycam is GCode. There is probably a wide variety of dialects in use by different programs. LinuxCNC works well with pycam's output.
If you run into problems with your specific CAM software, I would recommend to take a look at its GCode language specification and compare it with the GCode specification of LinuxCNC. Probably you will just need to add a space or a dot somewhere in the GCode file.
The specific error message of your CAM program will help you spot the problem qickly.
