Trying to figure out how this engraving in a 2D model thing works. So far I have done all the steps as described in the wiki, but when I hit generate toolpath the top layer (with my items that need to be engraved rather than cut out) isn't included in the toolpath. See this screenshot:
As you can see, the bottom part is red, and in sim mode I see it being cut out in slices. However the top part, where the stars and the sample text is, stays blue and isn't included when I hit simulate. What am I doing wrong?
My process is set to Engraving, 2.50 max step down (image shows 1.00 step down, this just adds more layers towards the bottom part which I find unnecessary, the cut wont be more beautiful in the end, right...?) and milling style to conventional.
I hit 'revise directions' as well but doesn't seem to make a difference in toolpath.
