Hi All,
starting off trying to use PyCAM. I'm designing originally in autocad, exporting as STL (using following steps:
1. Set DISPSILH to 1
2. Set ISOLINES to 0
3. Set FACETRES to 10
4. Relocate the object to the positive X-Y-Z octant
5. Use the STLOUT command to export an STL file.)
When I open with pycam it's totally white. It's weird because if i view it with a generic stl-viewer(freeware) then it shows up fine, so I'm confused as to why it doesn't show up. Thoughts?
Thanks
Ben
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
could you attach the STL file, please? Or please send it to my sourceforge mail address, if you don't want to publish it.
For now I never noticed any problems with the STL output of various programs (OpenSCAD, Art of Illusion, QCad, …). Thus I guess, it will be quite easy to fix this issue with the format exported by AutoCAD.
thanks!
Lars
