I am currently making a little python plugin for axis to create classic dovetails, to do this I can create my own g-code programatically, and this is not a big deal.
However for version 2 I would like to beable to create arbitrary shaped joins (not sure where that leads to yet….) and I was wondering if mycam can help me with creating proper g-code.
is pycam already in a stage for me to use?

It is definitely possible to generate g-code…. so I think it should be possible to use it for your purpose, especially if you're familiar with python already.
