Hello Sebastian, > [2] Is there a way of convicing Bibtex to allow a citation like=20 > 'FOUCAULT 1966/1974'? This is a must for precise historical reference if= =20 > you use translations, reprints, collections etc. blanks and backslashes are indeed no good idea because of the bibtex specification. I use keys like foucault:1966-1974 what means papers origina= lly published between 1966 and 1974 in a collection from let's say 1990. The ye= ar 1990 of the used edition can be found in YEAR, the publication year(s) 1966= -74 in the key. To be compatible with other bibtex-tools you should only use standard characters.
