Hi All, I've just released the latest installment of Thera. It's a big jump from the last version, and the first version in three years, so I've bumped the revision number fairly significantly. You can download it from sourceforge by following this link: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/pybem/thera-2.0.zip I've pasted in the release notes, where I've tried to explain what the big deal is :) I'm particularly interested in hearing from people who: a. have tried to install it under Windows (note that Thera now reads from mbox files), or b. new users who have trouble with the documentation. If you can't install it, let me know and I'll do my best to help you fix it. Thanks, Anthony --- Thera v2.0 release notes: This version is intended to be much easier to install, modify and configure. The core code is also much simpler and smaller, although some of the external libraries still need some work ;) This should be fairly stable, since I've been using it to run Elderlands, my pyatlantis test game - but do let me know if you run into any problems. New features: * It only runs one game, making configuration much simpler. Want to run multiple games? Run multiple copies :) * It now reads from an mbox, rather than stdin, so it should be much easier to run under windows (you should only need a mail reader that can save into mbox format) * Chopped out a lot of cruft, like blacklists/paidlists, zipping up turns and all of the 'manual' mail parsing that was being done (now it uses python libraries). * Reworked a lot of the core code, which should allow easy modification if you want to add new commands or replace them and add your own. -- ------------------------------------------------------ HyPerACtIVe?!
