Hi,
it would be great to get 64 bit support for linux. I want to pyARS within my 64bit linux splunk Cluster to pull data into splunk. On my windows development machine that works great using 32bit python. Unfortunatelly i am not able to change the 64bit python that is shipped with splunk as there are too many dependecies.
Why does it not work on my windows machine with a 64bit python? I checked the arapi.dll for windows and see that they are all 0bytes. Did anyone here hgot that working already?
BR
Oliver

Finally I could double check the 64bit under Windows.
a) I also have a 64bit distribution of 8.1.0 for Windows, where the arapi81_build001_win64.dll has 0 Bytes length, which does not work.
b) Luckily, I have a 64bit Distribution for 7.6.04, where arapi7604_build002_win64.dll has 1848 KB -- and this does work with pyARS.
So, when you get the right binaries (I guess, they should come with the Server?) you should be able to run this....
Hope this helps,
Axel

Hi Axel,
thanks a lot for your answer. I have not checked yet if it will work with arapi7604 connecting to a 810 installation.
Are you going to built in the 64bit linux support? Because for linux the libs are available.

I haven't been working on pyars for the past couple of months, as I'm not not working on Remedy projects any more. Therefore, no progress on the 64bit front.
That's why I have been asking for someone to take over project maintenance. If you are willing to help me out with this, please let me know...
Sorry,
Axel

Hi!
I haven't had any request to support this, that's why no progress has been made in this regard...
I'd probably need some more user requests as well as some help from a developer with profound C knowledge.
Hope this helps,
Axel
Hello,
I am in need of this and I have profound C knowledge. Please let me know what you need.
Regards,
Oscar
Hi, Oscar!
