While I am really impressed of the new capabilities of py2exe to create a
single executable, I am encountering some difficulties. I see from the mailing
list that also others have some problems.
After having added that py2exe is really useful and powerful (I use it a lot),
using it in combination with matplotlib seems to be quite complicated.
First of all I am getting a lot of messages like:
No Such File
the file exists, but either py2exe did not create the correct directory
(because there is also matplotlib\backends inside collect-2.4) or the target
directory is wrong.
I'm getting the same behavior also with Numarray.
However, if I create *manually* the directory that py2exe needs, everything
runs smoothly until I starts the executable. There I found the error inside
myexecutable.exe.log that says:
ImportError: No module named _nc_backend_agg
This module is imported from Matplotlib, and it has the *.pyd extension. I have
checked the collect-2.4 directory, and the file _nc_backend_agg.pyd is there,
in matplotlib-backends and matplotlib\backends. It seems to me that py2exe has
not included it inside the executable.
Does anyone have a clue?
Thank you a lot.
