Hi, I have written an application in python and pygtk. I am currently working on Vista 32 bit OS. I want to have my own icon for the .exe file of my application. I have followed every step given on the link below: http://py2exe.org/index.cgi/CustomIcons But still I am getting the same Icon for the .exe file. Any help or suggestions on this? Regards Chirag |

Like we usually say around here: Try to boil it down to the simplest setup.py that demonstrates the problem. Scan the output, and see if there's an error. My setup.py works fine, here's the relevant line: "icon_resources": [(0, os.path.join("Application Data","Application Resources","MyApp.ico"))], The icon file contains 16, 32, 48, and 64 pixel images. The script is run from the parent dir of "Application Data" (i.e. 'dir "Application Data\Application Resources\MyApp.ico' displays the file.) You might try putting in an absolute path (starting with "C:\"). -Bill > -----Original Message----- > From: chirag jain [mailto:chi...@gm...] > Sent: Saturday, August 15, 2009 1:33 AM > To: py2exe > Subject: [Py2exe-users] icon for the .exe file > > Hi, > > I have written an application in python and pygtk.
