Actually I got the application running through python interpreter, only with py2exe I got the problem. But, as I thought, it was a problem with some DLL because I updated the Win98SE with a unofficial service pack and now the program is running. Unfortunately I don't know which DLL was drawing me back...:(

Are you using the unicode version of wxPython?  It doesn't play well
with Windows98, particularly when frozen.  Try using the ANSI version
of wxPython, and see if that fixes the problem.
