Hi Shilad
Here is a little patchlet to automate the choice of python version in
the python/Makefile. If someone has a more complex setup (e.g. multiple
python versions, or a user area install) that person would have to edit
the makefile anyway, so this helps the common case a lot, without
hurting more esoteric build environments.
