I think i know why your having this problem..i had the same problem =
here, using the same SIS900 NIC card, i found the problem to be the =
Linux driver for the SIS900 NIC. =20

I had found a work around for the problem, i found that if i used a Hub =
or managed switch were i could drop the speed to 10Megs than the SIS900 =
Nic would work.  For some reason the linux driver for SIS will not work =
correctly at 100megs with all Hubs,  others have no problem...I had this =
problem with my Cisco switch, but it worked correctly with my DLink =
Switch. =20

Easy way to fix, drop in an old 10 Meg hub and connect the SIS900 nic to =
it.  you should now get passed the second DHCP request.
