Hy All,
at first I have to say:
nice work, great driver.
After some installing, configuring, reconfiguring, reading, trying and
wondering I can access my Hauppauge PVRUSB2 via Linux.
"perl capture.pl | mplayer -cache 1000 -" is playing the videostream
with sound.
For everybody having no sound with "perl capture.pl > movie.mpg":
Don't use usbsnoop with coldstart
Use it with Reboot
1. start usbsnoop
2. install Hauppauge in usbsnoop
3. shutdown windows
4. boot windows
5. start usbsnoop
6. start wintv
7. close wintv
8. uninstall Hauppauge in usbsnoop
Coldstart of Hauppauge, while running usbsnoop, always creates a
usbsnoop.log without a Sounddevice(?) on my computer.
For everybody having problems with "perl usbreplayprep.pl <
usbsnoop.log > usbcommands.txt"
Perl-5.8.2 on my Linuxmachine ends up in segfaults (as Michael
wrote)
Perl-5.6.1 works (thanks Michael)
read Michaels posts for further information.
After yelling one day at my PC (I've said "bad words" to it), glotv
also works.
There's just one thing I don't understand.
Starting glotv and pressing "Start Play" never shows a picture.
I have to "Stop Play" and change the channel, then mplayer shows
up.
Changing the channel after starting glotv also doesn't work. I have
to "Stop Play", change the channel again and then it works.
For everybody having problems with glotv and not using the default
directories
be sure that you start glotv in your "driver" directory (the
directory where your capture.pl exists)
be sure you started "perl glotvd" and "perl xglotv" with full path
and sudo (not su).
I've also changed the "pvrusb2" at line $config{capture_hook} (in
glotv.conf) to my "driver" directory. But I don't know, if it's
neccessary.
Now my questions:
How can I set "Fullscreen mode" in glotv?
"Pause" only saves a few seconds to disk, how can increase this
value?
Thanks in advance
As I said at the beginning
Good work, great driver
