Dear All,
please consider the following email from the German national RoboCup committee. A similar situation holds for Mixed Reality. Currently we only have the three German teams registered for MR.
The details of the competitions will be settled in the coming weeks to assure optimal conditions for all participating teams, including new ones. The hardware system will be provided, so there is no need to have or bring own robots.
Those teams that did not register yet, please make sure your registration is recognized.
Those teams that decided to abstain, please reconsider your decision.
Please also be aware of the fact, that it is upon every single team to possibly cause cancelation of the Mixed Reality league at the German open.
For registration please send an email to Ansgar Bredenfeld (a cc for me would be helpful).
Kind regards
Reinhard Gerndt
for the MR organizing committee

> Dear team leader of an MSL team,
>
> as you know, we are organizing the RoboCup German Open 2011 again in Magdeburg (31.3.-3.4.2011). We have many teams in all Major leagues but not in MSL. At present, only three teams of you registered (Graz, Kassel, Eindhoven). Since we only perform a competition if we have at least four teams in a league, we kindly ask you to rethink your participation, if you did not registered so far. Please let me know by Tuesday this week (25.1.) if like to participate, we will re-open the registration in this case.

> If only three teams are registered, that is the status for now, we will CANCEL the laegue at RoboCup German Open 2011. This would be generally a very bad signal for the league and I recommend to carefully dedice on a participation. But the same holds true for SSL, where no teams registered. It seems, that SSL and now also MSL are of decreasing interest for research institutes. On the other side SPL, Home, Sim3D and Rescue have an outstanding number of teams and will definitely have competitions at RoboCup German Open 2011.
