Don't bother, I should be able to figure that out on my own. :) I still 
have hopes that I can get Pure 0.5 out on the weekend, so that I can

Yes, but for reasons discussed earlier pow is only defined for integer 
and rational bases now. Those are the only cases for which I can readily 
compute exact results for all integer exponents. Of course everybody's 
free to extend pow as they see fit in their own programs.
