#8 IE address bar, not responding

A little after I installed PUK 1.45.4 on my Win XP Pro
system, the address bar in Internet Explorer (6.0)
stopped working if I clicked the dropdown arrow to
choose a previously entered URL. It would cause IE to
hang and stop responding. This continued after I
uninstalled PUK, and I've yet to be able to fix it, even
after I installed the service pack for IE6! Anyone know
how to fix this?? I sure miss not having to type in
addresses I've been to!
