Hi Gerry, Yes we do want to add SSL/TLS support via openssl soon. Aloysius has written a prototype implementation of Pt-Ssl with full support for iostream, streambuffers and non-blocking/async I/O :-) I reviewed it for him while he was developing it and he did a great job!
