I'd like to know if I can safely back up (bootable) my
whole hard disk to my firewire-drive which also carries
other data.

I created a directory DATA on the drive which holds the
files that are saved on the disk but do not belong to
the backup.

All the folders from my HD (Library, System etc.) are
located on the root of the FW-HD besides the DATA dir.

I'd like to know if there's a way to use PsyncX
synchronising feature (say: quick incremental backups)
without damaging the DATA folder. If I do tell PsyncX
to remove files from the backup which are no longer on
the HD, I think it will delete DATA too (since it is
not an the HD). Is there a way aroung this?

thanks in advance,
florian
