#12 Check For Updates - Can't Connect To Our Server

When I run the Check for Updates command from the drop-down
menu, I always receive the Can't Connect To Our Server message.
It's been like this for, at least, 6 months. Has this update
functionality been disabled or do I need to do something to make it
work?
