We have just released Psycle 1.8.2 in conjunction with the new compo 8 at psycledelics.
This release is mostly a bugfix version over 1.8.1, with updated plugins, an installer (as it used to), and a few more features.

The big changes (vsthost, sampulse, multiio) are still being developed, and since they weren't tested, we've preffered to release this updated version instead.

Since a few problems were found with the prepackaged plugins and the new Psycle version is not yet ready, we have decided to release an updated plugins package to fix those.

Please, update them with the new package if you are experiencing crashes with big songs, or other malfunctions.

We are pleased to inform that the long awaited release of Psycle 1.8 is out.

With it, it comes a more stable host, several new machines, and a spirit to continue envolving to a better program.

Unfortunately, the new multipattern sequencer hasn't been included in this release. It is now the number one priority.

There has been a lot of changes in the sources
since 1.7.6.2, but unfortunatly, we still have a problem compiling the optimized version of the binary executables: for some strange reason, the release build crashes while the debug build works fine. Until we find the cause of this bug, we have to delay this new version.

just a quick message to inform our readers that
a new version, 1.7.6.2, of psycle has been released.
This one is the same as 1.7.6.1 but recompiled to work on w98. The open source plugins are also recompiled.

Already 7 months have passed since last release here in Sourceforge. And you might ask.. "just a "0.0.4" version increase? Well.. that's because we've changed the name modelling. But there's alot inside!

There were two bugfix versions ( named 1.7.1 and 1.7.2 ) released to pastnotecut (and of course, to the CVS), and version 1.7.3 has gone several RC's to become 1.7.4.

With the end of the year coming, we are releasing this new version of Psycle. There is a lot of things new in it, and the functionality and stability have improved quite much. Check the whatsnew.txt for more information (although the whatsnew is not complete)

With the next version we will start adding the sequencer features that everyone wants as well as ways to improve and made the editing of music still better.... read more

New version of psycle is here.

This is not a big change from the previous one, but fixes several bugs and makes some more VST plugins work correctly. Also, there are new graphics and some other refinements in general.

Yep! after many many tryouts (from myself) to setup it, I've finally been able to setup the CVS account and make it work. I hope this will help us all to more actively work on it.

I will add in the following days a new branch, with the PsyClean codename.

Also, we have a new developer, that wants to help in porting psycle to otehr platforms (initially, to MAC).

I was informed that there was a mistake when zipping the binary packages and for one machine (M3.dll), the debug build was included instead of release one. Please, compile it yourself in release mode, or redownload the binaries.

Here there is a new 1.6 release. Some little bugs were fixed and a bunch of new options and plugins have been added. Be sure to get this one.

Version 1.6 has reached complete status.

This version is the most complete and stable version to date. There have been changes and improvements on different parts trying to make it more usable.

This version puts an end to the original Psycle idea, and starts a new revolutionary one with Psycle 2.

Psycle 2 is being coded but sources are not avaiable yet (pretty elementary and we are still switching to different packages).
It will NOT be Public license. Probably it will be GPL, but this is not clear yet.
And, of course, expect it to surpass by far Psycle 1.... read more

One fix and one Addition for a new release.

Sorry for the long delay that this version has suffered. I had not much time to dedicate to it, and the other developers didn't seem to have it either.

From this version on, the Team will mainly focus on the new 2.0 Version, from which I will be posting news from time to time. You can expect some more 1.x versions, but the main version now is gonna be 2.0

Psycle 1.6 RC2, which mainly fixes some bugs on the previous release, has been made public.

If you use 1.6RC1 you are strongly encouraged to upgrade, since in that version a bug which corrupted the files was introduced.

I am being reported of stability problems (crashes and things working really bad) on this latest release.
I am very surprised of this, since the changes over RC1 are minor, and this one seems to be more stable overall.

It is for this reason that I recommend to everyone to

1st: Not use RC2.
2nd: Not use RC1, since it will delete the Fxxx commands.

I will work on this and try to release a fixed version in the following days.

I've just updated the .dll and the sources of the Winamp plugin to the latest Release.

I might (or not) add a Winamp 3 "wac" too.
(I first have to understand a bit better how to compile one)

First non beta version for months! (Well, you know that perfection doesn't really exist anyway)

This new release hopes to have the most problematic bugs fixed, and a bunch of new features that should make it all pretty usable.

Right now, only bugs (and maybe little additions) will be done on version 1.6.

Version 1.7 should come soon. The main points with 1.7 will be the following ones:

-> Much better player/machines/plugins/VST's system
Fully develop the VST Host.
New Sampler Machine, with lots of options more
Better native and internal machines for both, sound and CPU usage

Psycle 1.6 beta 4 just released,which features diferent bugfixes which should improve stability, and a better wave editor.

As you will see, the list is very short. This is mainly due to two things:

• I spent an entire week trying to find resource leaks. I believe I've fixed the most important ones.

• The team is working towards a new release which will drastically change Psycle. First important change: new fileformat. Read the "readme.txt" file for more info.... read more

I ([JAZ]) have finally put my hands over administrating the sourceforge site, and I believe that it's time to talk about what has happened 'till today, and what might happen in the future.

I've done some changes over the project settings, one of them making the project homepage link to Psycledelics site, which, since the very beginning, has been supporting Psycle.
Also, I've modified the settings of the forums and the tracker, so I hope now they will be more usable.... read more
