[Psycle-devel] forum posting issues

I'm getting a number of odd errors when trying to use the forums --
being told I don't have permission to post to a thread (whichever
thread I try to post to), and that I need to log in (even though I'm
already logged in.)  Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Yes.

The site got a bit broken when our hoster updated the version of php that it
is being used (or mysql or whatever). I did some fixes here and there, so we
got it working, but there are a few things not working as you noticed.

The truth is that I simply haven't gone to check the source and see what's
wrong, but several things like remembering you, and the login from the
forums don't work (actually, this thing wasn't working before either).

You have to go to the main (home) page (i.e. the /portal.php ) and log-in
from there. Then, you will be able to edit and reply.

Of course, if we had a site maintainer this could work better... :P

I wouldn't want to commit myself to the role of site maintainer --
time is a bit scarce at the moment -- but I'd love to take a look at
the code and see if I can fix any bugs (this one in particular :)  I'd
like to refresh my PHP/MySQL memory.  I remember that as the site is
on someone else's space access is restricted, but if anyone could mail
me the code and a dump of the database I could set it up on my comp
and send any fixes as a patch.

P.S. I've not been around on IRC or worked on qpsycle for a while --
as I say, life is getting in the way at the moment -- but I hope to be
able to help out a little bit again sometime soon.
