I have decided to sign up for donations for the project. As project admin, I've set the donation target to my Paypal account, but to the extent that anyone will use donation money themselves I don't claim any larger share of it than anyone else who's a member. I'm thinking that if we get any donations, it will be mostly used for project-wide things; for one thing, it would be somewhat nice to register a domain name for the project and set up the Sourceforge domain-name redirection. Any thoughts? -- Tom Dickson-Hunt No, I will not fix your computer. |

I'm planning to release 0.0.3alpha once the NPC scripting and the new map format are implemented. Any thoughts? -- Tom Dickson-Hunt |

So, you don't want to use this binary structure dump? You want to use something like an xml file wich describe how the level are? I've always that this approach is good, but I don't know if it really is. Currently, I'm configuring my IDE (Dev-C++) to work with Allegro. Then, I'll create a project with the current release of the game. Finally, I'll study your code, just to know wats going on. Look, you use Linux? I'm asking that because I use windows, and your txts came with a little rectangle that always came with the newlines, like all txts edited in linux seems to come (the \r, I think). 2009/1/15 Tom Dickson-Hunt <tom...@gm...> > Currently, the format for loading/saving maps is a simple binary > structure dump, which is an eyesore. Currently, the format for loading/saving maps is a simple binary structure dump, which is an eyesore. That's one of the major current requirements--getting file formats working. Can people work on that? -- Tom Dickson-Hunt No, I will not fix your computer. |
