Getting Started

Basic tutorial for starting using PSP Development Center

In this tutorial I will explain you how to install and use PSP Development Center.

First, you'll need these requirements:

• A Windows computer (Windows XP/Vista/7 - 32/64 bit)
• Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=17113
• 2MB of free space on disk
• PSPSDK installed and it's bin directory in PATH
• Optional: A PSP for testing PSPSDK projects

When sure you have the requirements, you can proceed the tutorial.

Installation

1. First, download the installation file

2. Follow the installation wizard
3. When the installation process has finished, click on Finish to close the installation program.
4. Now PSP Development Center is installed on your computer.

First launch

Go to Start > All programs and search for PSP Development Center.
Click on it. After the Splash Screen, you'll see the main program interface.

Interface description

There's a menubar and a toolbar on the top with the basic commands and the project's commands.

At the right there are the Properties window and the Project window.
The Properties windows shows the properties of the selected object in the Project window.
The Project window shows the current open files and the project's files.

On the bottom there's the Compile Log window.
