When I saw this paragraph from the ProForma specification, I realized it related to a conversation on our most recent phone call: "Since ProForma MAY be used to represent both peptidoforms and proteoforms, there is currently no limit in its maximum length. Line breaks MUST NOT be used. However, non-ASCII characters are also allowed since non-ASCII characters can be included in the supported ontologies and controlled vocabularies (CVs).
