Hi there, mzQC enthusiasts! For the structure of our upcoming all-virtual PSI2020 conference QC track, we have for each of the 3 (.5) days an early slot of 3h starting PDT GMT CET SAST 8:00 15:00 16:00 17:00 and a late slot of 3h starting. PDT GMT CET SAST 12:00 19:00 20:00 21:00 The first day's first slot is cut-short half an hour for the introductory plenary session. On our putative agenda (https://github.com/HUPO-PSI/mzQC/blob/master/meeting_notes/PSI2020-QC_Agenda.md), we have some items which are dependent on others, and others that can be tackled in parallel. From the proposed agenda linked above I tried to pry apart those items and assemble them into series of events as following. (Same as main agenda, but some more details.) Day PDT GMT CET SAST Agenda main items Break-out subitems 8:30 15:30 16:30 17:30 Overview first 5-10 1 Mon 9:00 16:00 17:00 18:00 Break-out 1 2,3 - 10:00 17:00 18:00 18:00 Wrap last 10 1 12:00 19:00 20:00 21:00 Overview first 5-10 1 Mon 13:00 20:00 21:00 22:00 Break-out 4 5 - 14:00 21:00 22:00 23:00 Wrap last 10 1 8:00 15:00 17:00 18:00 Overview first 5-10 2 Tue 9:00 16:00 18:00 19:00 Break-out a b c 10:00 17:00 19:00 20:00 Wrap last 10 2 12:00 19:00 20:00 21:00 Overview first 5-10 3 Tue 13:00 20:00 21:00 22:00 Break-out a b c 14:00 21:00 22:00 23:00 Wrap last 10 3 8:00 15:00 17:00 18:00 Overview first 5-10 3 Wed 9:00 16:00 18:00 19:00 Break-out a b c 10:00 17:00 19:00 20:00 Wrap last 10 3 12:00 19:00 20:00 21:00 Overview first 5-10 3 Wed 13:00 20:00 21:00 22:00 Break-out a b c 14:00 21:00 22:00 23:00 Wrap last 10 3 As a general way of things, I think it would be best, if we'd meet up at the beginning of each session all together for a flexible 5-10 minutes. There, overview the upcoming tasks and then break-out early, to regroup for the last 10 minutes for a wrap-up. Our slack channel will have the current links to the break-out places (either directly as a slack thread or preferably meets/hangouts link). Since it is a *purely virtual conference* (allows for more flexible schedules in the best case) and we might have quite different timezone constellations in the break-outs as in the general group, I thought it a good idea to assemble a poll who in which timezone would like to participate in which break-out group. *Please log-on to our slack workspace and fill the poll until Saturday latest. Multiple choice, if several time directions befit you, please select them.* I will then try to suggest custom break-outs. In cases where the poll should reveal this as not-so-ideal, we have the above suggested schedule as fallback option. First day should be aligned the overall schedule (see slack lobby pinned item) with in any case. I will keep an up-to-date schedule in our slack channel. If you think there are items missing in the agenda, please let me know by the end of Friday, and I'll try to fit them into the schedule and the poll. take care, mths -- Mathias Walzer European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) Wellcome Trust Genome Campus, Hinxton, Cambridge, UK Office: +44 (0)1223 494 2610 E-mail: wa...@eb... |
