Hi all.

Sorry for the cross-post for those who are affected. Just 
thought it wise to braid a couple of threads together...

Wrt the excellent minutes from the 2005-10-25 MS/SG call; we 
yesterday discussed MIAPE both for GE and in general (cf. point 
7 in the Randy's minutes). Editted summary below; a major driver 
for this was NP's comments on the MIAPE: GE document 
(http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=13709946). 
This is fundamental SG activity as defined previously (I'll kick 
it off as described below, but then it needs feedback from 
across the board)...

Incidentally I also like the examples thing, also below. This is 
potentially something to require as a subsidiary item in the 
four-membered list for each technical WG (format, CV, spec doc, 
reporting requirement); although I would prefer that the example 
come in document form in the first instance rather than trying 
to simultaneously demo a format and CV; this is just about scope 
and feasibility for fulfilling the MIAPE module's requirements 
-- to test the format and CV would be too complex (although that 
absolutely should be done _as well_...), both from a testing and 
from a getting-normal-people-to-do-it point of view.

In General:
The relationship as to how the MIAPE documents in general (not 
just GE) relate back to the parent document, is unclear and not 
specific enough. We should probably reference sections of the 
parent document. This involves updating the parent document.

Action; Chris will work on an outline for all MIAPE modules, and 
create a MIAPE template document with a defined structure and 
details of how to complete a MIAPE document.


Example descriptions:
It was suggested by Norman that we should have examples of how 
the MIAPE.GE can be completed with real data as example 
descriptions. This should be done before the external review 
process, but may also be part of it.

Action; Chris will recruit some people to give example documents 
to try this out.
