Hi, I am not entirely sure if I am posting to the correct mailing list or not. If I'm not posting to the correct place, can you please let me know where I should be posting to? Thanks. Anyway, the MD5 hash required in the sourceFile node suggests that the only valid source for mass spec data is a file. We are now building our software around a database back-end and therefore we do not have files. We have URI's which we can generate for source locations inside the database so we're planning to use these for the file location. However, the concept of generating an MD5 hash from a series of relational entities is a bit weird. Since the schema mandates that a hash be generated (MD5 or SHA1) what would you suggest that we do?
