[Psidev-pi-dev] ETD and z ions

Hi all,

I thought this is a good venue to ask these questions, it might even 
have some bearing on standardization. :)

It is my understanding that the z ion is not what is produced by ETD, 
but rather a "z radical" - z plus a proton. Is this correct? Does the 
same hold true for ECD? If so, then what uses the z ion directly? How 
will "z radicals" be annotated in AnalysisXML? As a separate ion series 
in the CV?
