I agree with Darren. For profile (aka continuous) mode data, each element in the array is not a peak, so I would not want to label it such. We use the term encodedLength to refer to the length of the string after base64 encoding. It seems like a natural thing to call this concept arrayLength. Something like arrayElementCount could work, too. But I'm currently still in favor of arrayLength unless someone has a more elegant name.
