Dear occasional readers
Does anybody know how to use the function sgml-insert-attributes
correctly? Or, to start at the beginning: is it possible to use a
psgml function to insert an attribute non-interactively? I've tried:
(defun doku-insert-schlagwoerter ()
(sgml-insert-attribute "schlagwoerter" "value"))
This worked halfway, but only inserted the attribute with an empty
string as the value.
(sgml-insert-attributes AVL ATTLIST)
seemed also promising. The documentation says
"Insert the attributes with values AVL and declarations ATTLIST.
AVL should be a assoc list mapping symbols to strings."
I read this to mean the AVL should be an alist of the form:
'((ATTRIBUTE . "value"))
and have not been able to confirm or disprove this assumption yet
;-). It is already evident, however, that I do not grasp what data
type ATTLIST should be. It seems clear that it is not a simple list of
attributes (whether as strings or symbols), but delving into the
depths of psgml seems nothing more than a good method to get lost.
Would be delighted about any help.
