Hi, In instances of a journal/tasklist dtd I use I sometimes set the content of certain elements in bold or italic. I used the normal Emacs command for this in the past (`M-g b') and it worked as expected. Now, with psgml 1.3.0, it doesn't. After "applying" the face-change to a region, the modeline shows an unsaved buffer-change, but the default face remains the same. Other buffers in the same frame (with the same frame-parameters, font, etc. do allow me to change weight and slant). I noticed some recent changes to face-setting functions in the Changelog file, but I'm having a hard time understanding what's going on. I see that many face operations are conditioned on `sgml-use-text-properties', `t' for text properties, `nil' for overlays. The value of this in my setup is the default (`t'), I've never changed it (besides, that variable exists since at least 1999). So, is this a bug, or is it by design? If there's another programmatic way of setting bold, italic, etc., I would like to know how. (Actually, I was hoping to do something like this with psgml-fs.el). Thanks in advance, Ron |
