Trolling, trolling trolling !
Notice that the list isn't called "PS2Linux-devel" ?
You're always welcome to start one ;) I'd be happy to join!
However, this list isn't entirely dedicated to running Linux on PS2...
Much if it is concerned with developing and running
cross tools (and dicussing programming techniques)
hosted on standard wintel platform Linux - much more
useful than focusing on those very few that have access
to PS2 Linux. Though PS2 linux is useful for investigation
and prototyping, it is not a desirable target for mass
applications or games. The tools that have been deveoped
by prominent list members allow a PC USB link to a PS2 to be
used for program download and debugging - a HUGE step
forward from the compile-burn-repeat cycle developed before
by those same people;)
With the release of a revamped PS2 Linux for US machines,
(soon!) and the standalone hard drive kit coupled with
a supported USB-nic, many more people will be able to
use native MIPS Linux on "there"/their PS2s, using the commercial
kit or homebrew variations. Review the list histories and
you will find much useful information of pS2 Linux
as well as valuable links. Please spend some time become
complaining;)
Regards;
Heinz
