Thanks to Connor, there now is a PS-Drone-Thanks to Connor, there is now a Python3 version of PS-Drone. The last update fixed several problems in the video function. If you notice any problems, just let us know.
Did some bugfixes in 2.1.4:
Sometimes there were locked network-connections after program-restarts, caused by the OS. PS-Drone now tries force an unlock these connections.
Command moveDown() now works correct (Thanks Harold).
I just uploaded PS-Drone 2.1.0 beta, with a rewritten video-preprocessing for much better video-detection and less OpenCV-warnings. Video should now also work on OS X.
The RobotFaire is over and it was a lot of fun. While demonstrating some sample applications I had time to analyze the behavior of the drone with the latest firmware.
I was shocked ! When I was programming PS-Drone I used firmware version 2.2.6 and it worked fine and precise, as it should. The only problem: the sensor for rotation altered its value a around 0.0185°/s. Not a big deal at all but a bit annoying when you have to be exact, so I added the command getSelfRotation() to compensate this behavior.... read more
On the 21th of November, I'm going to participate in an exhibition called RobotFaire which takes place within the scope of "Robotertage 2015", arranged by the "Deutsch-Amerikanischen Institut Heidelberg". There, I'm going to present PS-Drone, show some projects and talk a bit about drones, programming, controlling position, a.s.o.
