Is it possible to use putty with proxytunnel? Any tips will be appreciated

Yes, the new (1.1.10) version of proxytunnel can be used in 'stand-alone' mode. This will allow you to use it with ssh clients that don't understand the proxycommand directive.
It's a bit of a dirty hack,  but it works :)

Where can I get a copy of 1.1.10 ? I can only find 1.1.0. I would like to try out this putty integration.

You can get the latest version (1.1.2) (the 1.1.10 I typed should have been 1.0.10) on the download page.
Using the stand-alone mode should work for putty. Otherwise use the cygwin version of openssh.

Version 1.2 is out as well... but new putty versions have included http-proxy support and no longer require proxytunnel for this
