Yes, I just found that. It is introduced in JDK 1.3 but I think we should include it Proxool. The JDK 1.2 code will have to omit it and it is up to JDK 1.2 users to manually finalize Proxool. I have done some limited tests with JUNit and the hook does close down the pool as expected. Other tests with other environments would be good. I'll do a test in Tomcat next. The new ShutdownHook code is committed in CVS version. (We can always remove it if it causes any problems).
