Hi there, we found PROTUX is very interesting, so we invite you to keep in consideration to port it to Haiku (and, why not, ReactOS/Windows). This could solve the problem that both OSes (but Haiku expecially) don't have an open source Sony Vegas alternative (Ardour and Cinelerra aimed to make a Win port but seems quite difficoult if not impossible).
We also suggest to keep a look @ HyperEngine-AV:
