Hey Jarrett, I'm working through your tutorial. Could you make sure that I'm doing things correctly? Thanks. At the end of *Step 1*, I extracted the tar file using the command: *tar xvf [filename]* In *Step 2*, I didn't find any file in the *project_src* directory, but I did download *pwiz_example.cpp* from the attachments and moved it into the * project_src* directory. Similarly, in *Step 3*, I didn't find a file called *Jamfile.jam* in the *project_src* folder, but I did download the file from the attachments and moved it into appropriate directory. My question here is, should I have expected these files to be in the folders already? I wasn't quite sure based on your instructions whether the files were suppose to be there already or whether I had to manually download and put them there. However, I did find *Jamroot.jam* in the *pwiz_project* directory. In *Step 4*, I ran into a little more trouble. When I typed in the command *sh quickbuild.sh -j4*, Terminal tried to build *bjam *because it wasn't compiled yet. However, *bjam* failed to build and an error showed up saying couldn't *cd* to .../* pwiz_documentation/pwiz_project/libraries/boost-build/jam_src*. I looked into the *pwiz_project* directory and didn't find a *libraries* subfolder. The closest thing I found was a subfolder *pwiz_libraries*. Inside * pwiz_libraries*, I found *boost-build/jam_src*. Am I suppose to rename * pwiz_libraries* to *libraries*? I think somewhere I must have made a mistake, because typing in *./clean.sh* and *sh quickbuild.sh *returned "At east one pwiz target failed to build" and I can't seem to find *msaccess* or any of the other pwiz programs inside * build-linux-x86*. Please advise. Thanks! Best, Godwin |
