Most likely you have something like this:
\PDFCroppingBox{10 40 594 820}
so your pdf file is cropped when using acroread. Try to
comment the above line.

Another topic, the latest version available at
http://prosper.sourceforge.net/ is very old. Try the one at
http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/supported/prosper/
You can also think to use the CVS but at least with me this
version doesn't work that well.
