#125 bullets problem

Hi,
I have teTeX 3.0, hyperref 6.71 and dvips 5.95a and I get this error when trying to compile code of the form:
\begin{itemize}
\item Item 3
\end{itemize}

<red-bullet-on-white.ps>

errors are present for any background, the slides look as expected, appart from that they have no bullets. (I'm using KDE 3.4.3 nad gentoo 2.6.12).
