(on my FreeBSD box both install without one bit of need to tweak anything) If it seems like to much of a problem to handle, just ask arround, there's bound to be someone (like me) who doesn't mind helping you out, and guide you through it on a step to step basis. wich brings me to another question: ZeroDiVide: is there a manual to build some kind of "superapache" in combination with Prometheus and is there a need for such manual? if Yes, I wouldn't mind working on the manual, and I think I can get a buddy of mine to work out any FreeBSD - Linux diffs.
