#9 Have user accounts independent of company

I work for an internal support group, so our
"companies" are our own departments and work teams.
Because of that, it would be a huge benefit for us if
users were all in one common pool and could be assigned
to the "companies" just like groups. That way each user
would have only one account to maintain instead of two
or more.

Of course, this could also be solved another way by
adding the concept of groups or work-teams which would
exist independently in each company. That would match
your current model but still allow people to be
segregated (in a good way) into only those project
groups they should see/edit. That would mean assigning
projects to groups instead of companies (or company as
a primary and then group as a sub-assignment within a
company).
