Ben,
I was reading Nathan's reply and you answer about the block wand and I think
that the block wand should do more than just one block or else the wan would
be kind of hard to use but I don't think the blocks should stay for ever, if
they were ever going to stay for ever.  you could just make a line of blocks
perpindicular to the direction they were facing
