#31 UDI network drivers do not show network stats

UDI network drivers do not show network statistics. That
is, on OpenServer, llistat -l doesn't show any failures or
problems (like collisions or deferred transfers) and on UW7, ndstat doesn't show any failures either.

I suspect this is a UDI infrastructure problem. If not,
please forward or let me know so I can forward this bug
to the right person.

UW and Linux net mappers definitely show statistics. The
UW code for handling MAC_INFO_REQ has been reviewed by several people and is believed to be as complete of a mapping as is practical to do.

Looking at line 1554 of netmap_osr5.c and comparing it to the current and functioning UW7 code, it looks like it is
based on an old version of the UW code that didn't have this
completed. (Yes, that change was announced on the lists.)

I would assign this to an OSR5 developer, but none have signed up on sourceforge yet.

Jack, I think you can simply backport the UW7 net mapper enhancements to get this fix.
