You may want to make a copy of the data file as well as it may contain other information like auto moves that won't be in the excel.
The data file is in "%APPDATA%\PC Fare Meter\timers.0.pcfaremeter"

Not the current release. But it's a good idea, the interface can slow down bit after adding lots of things.
I've put one with a "clear project data" button in the save dialog.
