Hi - my job includes looking at digital media content and seeing if things change on a page so my mouse will not move if I've say watching a video or someone is watching a video for continuing learning credit - for example if you were a doctor or attorney. I hope you can add in that feature then those of us who do digital media (and there are a bunch of us) will be glad to try this out! a few of us are on digitalmediavip.com so you'll see what we mean by having to watch video and view the ads - etc.
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
How long are the movies? My first suggestion is to go into the options and change "when to log" to "all the time" so it never turns itself off.
Or change "inactivity seconds" to a bigger number, say if you change it to 600 seconds, then the timer will turn itself off only after 10 minutes of inactivity.
I can add something that there detects whether the screen saver has been disabled but only VLC or media player classic disables the screen saver when in full screen mode. If you're using a flash type player or normal windows media player, neither will disable the screen saver.
It's hard to detect whether a video is playing in a window(it could be just a flash ad playing a movie), it would also be resource consuming going through all the windows to see if there is a movie there.
And I don't know how to tell if something is playing full screen. In windows media player, flash when you click on "full screen", the window isn't maximized, it's in some other mode that I don't know how to detect.
A method is to try to open up my own full screen app but that would mean trying create a full screen app every second, I don't know how much resources that would take and if the screen will flicker all the time when there isn't another full screen video on. Any ideas welcomed.
