Hi Author,
I am really excited about installing your soft. However, first I need to find out if it is compatible with my Vista 32.
Thank you in advance,
Svetlana

Thanks, nice of you. I did not want to use my laptop as Guinea Pig. If it will work well for me I will spread it around (friends and family). I have downloaded PCFareMeter_StandAlone_0.97.exe, I figured it is the most popular the one for 32-bit Windows. It does not install anywhere it is just an .exe file sitting on my desktop. Isn't it? Thank you.

Yes, the standalone doesn't install anywhere.
The difference with the installer is that the installer checks if you have .net v2 first(otherwise if you don't have it the stand alone program will just crash at the start)
And also associates the .pcfaremeter extension so you can double click on saved files to open them. With the stand alone you can drag the saved files into the pcfaremeter window to open it.
Thanks for trying it out.

Thank you. I have started trying it out. Looks like it is going to be useful for me. It still needs some manual labor from me. Like remembering to clock in for each task, but it is better than other free-ware I evaluated so far. I am sure you are thinking of the ways to improve and there will be more versions. If I get any ideas I'll let you know.

It's probably not clear but the way I use it is to leave it on always.
* click on the project, then type in something to search, like if you were here, then search for "sourceforge.net"
* click the "auto move" button next to the "move window" button, and then create a new project called "sourceforge" and move everything into there.
* then in the future everytime you do anything with the window title "sourceforge.net" it'll get automatically filed into that new "sourceforge" project.

I don't have windows vista unfortunately so I have never tried it.
It only uses .net v2, nothing much else and windows vista should have that.
If it works for you then tell me, it would be interesting to know.
If not, I'd like to know what errors you get so I can take a look at fixing it.
Thanks.
I just tried it out on a vista computer, it works fine.
