#13 Crash following purge completed items

Running 1.8.3e on Palm m130 (OS 4.1)

If I purge completed items in a Projects database, then
immediately after mark completed or change the priority
of an existing item, I receive a fatal error in
datamgr.c: data out of range. The reset button
doesn't respond, but the palm will manually soft reset.

I have reproduced this several times on my palm.
