If the cursor is anywhere near the Name column, scrolling down with the Mouse Scrollwheel moves across the columns (on the same row) - it should scroll downwards.
That happens in the Task view, Resource usage view, Task usage view, Projects view (from View menu). Does not depend on the place of the cursor or the mouse (pointer has to be inside the left table).
In Resource view it works well.
A bit annoying. I hope it needs small effort to get it right.

When you scroll on a Gantt chart it does move to the right. If you want to find a task far out in the future you can also use the "Scroll to Task" icon.
If you want to have it scroll the spreadsheet vertically: use Function and dwn or up this scrolls up and down the spreadsheet rows.

I tried this in PL 1.9.3. No keyboard modifiers (shift, control, function, alt) or combinations of those modifiers seem to cause the scrollwheel to scroll the task list vertically. It should, scroll vertically, just like every other program. Many programs use shift-scrollwheel to scroll horizontally.
